Ubud – Volcano Bali Tour Itinerary

First stop We will see the performance of Barong and Keris Dance in Batubulan Village at 09:30 am to 10:30 am. Barong dance represents eternal fight between good and bad spirit. Barong represents good spirit and Rangda represents bad spirit. There are many kind of Barong ( different face ). Such as Barong Ket, Barong Macan (tiger face), Barong landung, Barong Bangkung (Pig face). Entrance fee Rp.80,000/person.

Second stop is Tegalalang Village. We will see beautiful  rice terraces  , coconut tree with small river. Tegalalang Village is known with its handycraft. A long the way there you will see many handtcraft shops with many colourful woodcarving. wood carving is made from light good wood with reasonable price. They sell handycraft for retail as well. No entrance fee.

Third stop is Gunung Kawi Temple . This temple was built at 11th century by Anak wungsu ,son of King Udayana, Gunung Kawi consist of 10 memorial temple Rock cut. and it is devided into 2 groups. Four temples on the west side believed as the monument of Anak Wungsu chief’s concubines.Five temples on eastern side is believed as the monuments of King Udayana, his wife, Marakata and Anak Wungsu. and one more monument is believed for the monument for the friest of the King. Entrance ticket Rp.6,000/persons.

Fourth stop is Mount Batur Volcano. it is located in Kintamani District in Bangli regency. You can see the whole view ( Mount Batur and Batur lake) from Panelokan. Mount batur is still active , you can see the smoke . Entrance ticket     Rp. 5000/person.

Fifth Stop is Tirta Empul or Spring Water Temple. it is located in Tampaksiring region, near Gunung kawi, This temple is surrounded by spring and bathpool. In the center of the courtyard there is clear blue spring water bubbling up on its own.Balinese legend said that the spring water was created by Indra God when he had fought with Mayadenawa. Many Balinese come there for sacred ritual bathing (Melukat). Entrance fee Rp. 6,000/person.

Sixth stop is Ubud market and Ubud Palace.The market has 2 different part, western part is art market selling various arts, textiles, handycrafts. Other market is selling daily food it is opened earlier. Next to Ubud market is Ubud Palace where the royal family live, in the evening time , there is traditional dance performance in the outside yard. Next to the palace is Warung BU Oka, famed with its suckling pig (baby guling). No entrance fee.
