Tanah Lot and West Bali Tour Itinerary

First stop is Taman Ayun Temple. Taman Ayun Temple is located in Mengwi district, Badung Regency. It was built in 1634, outside yard with open grassy expanse and meeting hall for a meeting, dance performance and sometime cock  fighting. In the middle yard is built Bale kulkul (wood bell).Inner courtyard has multiroofs shrines (Meru) . The visitor is allowing to see inner court yard from outside only. Entrance ticket Rp.3000 /person.

Second stop is Alas Kedaton (Fruit bats and monkey forest) . Alas Kedaton is located in Kukuh Village , Tabanan Regency.It is habitat of 500 monkeys there. Inside  of it , there is Alas Kedaton Temple, during day time there are alot of big bats hanging on trees.Entrance ticket Rp 10.000/person.

Third stop is Bali Butterfly Park. It is located bit west side of Alas Kedaton , in Penebel district, Wanasari Village, to see colony of butterfly from many species, it is imported from Java, Sumatra, Borneo, Irian Jaya. They also sell souvenir from butterfly. Entrance Ticket Rp. 50,000/person.

Fourth stop is Batukaru Temple. We go further north passing through Penebel to visit Batukaru Temple dedicated to Dewa Mahadewa, it is located in Wongaya Village. Located in the slope of Mount Batukaru and surrounded by tropical green forest. The Temple has some Shrines (meru) symbolize mountain , east side are Beji (Holy spring Temple ), and lagoon. No entrance fee, Visitor must wear sarong to enter temple couryard.

Fifth stop is Jatiluwih Village. You can see amazing view of rice terraces , subak (water irigation system for rice field). You also can see coffee plantation, cacao, avocado, bamboo plantation, and etc. In rice planting season ,you can see farmer ploughing their rice field with cow and traditional equipment. Entrance fee Rp.10,000/persons.

Sixth stop is Tanah Lot Temple.The Temple is Built by A Priest , Dhangyang Nirartha, in 16th century, The one who built temple near the sea around Bali such as Rambut Siwi Temple (West Bali), Pulaki Temple ( NorthBali ), Ponjok batu Temple (North Bali ).When the sun down , you will see stunning sunset, you can also poisonous snakes in cave, it is believed as “guardian” of the temple. Entrance fee Rp. 10,000/person.
